Mickey was born and raised near Kansas City, Missouri and started guitar lessons at age 5. He played Opry shows as lead guitarist/featured instrumentalist for several years where he opened for many acts including Conway Twitty, Jerry Reed, and Jerry Lee Lewis. He then spent 6 years in Las Vegas performing in casino show bands. He lived in Branson, Missouri for the next 20 years, where he played with Jim Stafford, Ray Stevens, Pam Tillis and Shoji Tabuchi. In 2008, Mickey was the Music Director/Lead Guitarist for Kraig Parker and the TCB band, which was the world’s largest Elvis Production Show. While on tour, he released two Instrumental CDs featuring Elvis songs. Since March 2011, Mickey has been living on the Gulf Coast and playing alongside great singer-songwriters like Chris Newberry, Bo Roberts, Mark Sherrill, Jack Robertson, Brian Hill, Jay Williams, and many others. Mickey’s original songs include: Play Me Away, What Would Elvis Do, Blood Is Thicker Than Water, and If Guitars Could Tell Stories.
