Delivering his songs with a voice both powerful and soulful, Jimbeau Hinson is an amazing entertainer, a hit songwriter, a faithful husband to Brenda Fielder and a friend to many. As a child progeny in Newton, MS he started worked clubs in Meridian and Jackson when he was 10, signed his first Nashville pub deal at 16, signed a record deal at 17 and won his first ASCAP award at 18. As a teen he worked the road with every major Grand Ole Opry Star. Retiring from the road he managed the Oak Ridge Boys publishing houses for the first five years of the early 70’s and was instrumental in their switch from the #1 Gospel Quartet to the 1# Country act in the 80’s. He’s had songs cut by Tammy Wynette, Ricky Skaggs, Steve Earle, John Conlee, Patty Loveless, Kathy Mattea, Reba McEntire, Brenda Lee, David Lee Murphy, Carl Perkins and many many more. He currently released a critically acclaimed cd on Wrinkled Records, STRONG MEDICINE, that led The University of Mississippi to produce an award winning documentary of his life entitled BEAUTIFUL JIM. Following a 4 year absence, Jimbeau is very excited to return Frank Brown for his 19th year where he has always played to a loyal and enthusiastic following.
