Brown, Shelby

IMG_2123Shelby Brown is an 18 year old powerhouse from the small town of Elberta, Alabama working to expand her horizons and share her love for music with the world. After a failed attempt at middle school sports, Shelby discovered her passion lies within country music. She began vocal lessons at the age of 12, and soon after began teaching herself how to play guitar and writing original music. Shelby has won 1st place in multiple singing competitions through local karaoke contests, to high school talent shows. However, one of her biggest accomplishments thus far is her long running appearance on NBC’s hit show The Voice in 2015. At just 16, Shelby got the attention of Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Gwen Steffani, and Pharrell Williams with her rendition of “Stars” by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. She went on to choose Adam Levine as her coach, who would lead her all the way to the semi-finals. Through the show Shelby was mentored by artists such as John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Rihanna, and Dolly Parton.

Since her time in the spotlight has come to an end, Shelby is home performing locally while taking the time to write for her first EP. Shelby has also taken on multiple opportunities to reverse roles, and sit in the judges seat for multiple contests through out the state of Alabama. Shelby continues to inspire those young and old with her voice and music and continues to strive to bring something new to the table.
