Jay Brown’s songs come from the same place all great songs begin: in the real world. They tell the story of hard work and simple pleasures, of love and loss, and of deep mysteries we all struggle to understand. Despite his eventual success owning a chain of auto repair shops, Jay’s working-class upbringing gives him a keen ability to identify with those on every rung of the ladder, from the factory worker to the factory owner and everyone in between. This sense of personal connection endows his songs with a special humanity that really resonates with listeners from all walks of life. His winding path began in Pittsburgh, led through Georgia and Florida, and finally brought him to Nashville, where he enjoys the opportunity to co-write with some of the city’s top tunesmiths.
