DATA INPUT VOLUNTEER
There is a lot of data to be sorted with over 200 songwriters being scheduled.
Someone experienced with spreadsheets and google drive would be fantastic.
This volunteer position begins in July and ends after the festival.
Please contact Cynthia @ cynthia@fbisf.com for more information.

ACTIVELY SEEKING SOMEONE WITH ADOBE INDESIGN EXPERIENCE
Our printed program is produced with Adobe Indesign and we could use assistance with placement and bleed lines, etc.

Food Sponsor Volunteers

Work from a designated list of local restaurants in advance of the festival to obtain a commitment for food item(s) to serve at Songwriters luncheons on a particular day during the festival.
(August/September/October are the months this is coordinated).

Food Pick up Volunteers
On the day that the Food Sponsor’s product is served, a Food Pick up Volunteer goes to the restaurant to pick up the item(s) between 11:15-11:45 AM. Food is to be served at noon in the Flora-Bama Green Room.
(These positions are active during the festival; daily shifts are available throughout the festival.

Hospitality Volunteers
The Flora-Bama Green Room is set up each morning starting around 10:00 AM with tea, cold drinks and food to be served to the Songwriters. Hospitality Volunteer performs meal prep, set-up, and serves a hot lunch to Songwriters each day of the festival from Noon to 2:00 PM.
(These positions are active during the festival.)
Food service break down begins at 2:00 PM. Hospitality Volunteers clear and pack away leftovers and restore the Green Room back to an equipment room for the songwriters.
(These positions are active during the festival).

Venue Volunteers
Cover a variable "shift" (chosen by the volunteer) at one of several venues.  Many shifts are in the Flora-Bama Main Room. Additional venues that could use venue volunteers are determined each year. Volunteer responsibilities include helping to keep the venue relatively quiet and orderly while songwriters are on stage, moving chairs and/or table between performances (if needed), standing or sitting by emergency fire exits. Checking badges for Green Room entry, Flora-Bama’s Main Room; regulating traffic during songs at the Main Room entrance, and finally generating raffle ticket sales for an item or items to be announced.
(Venue Volunteer time slots vary nightly throughout the festival but most shifts are 5:00-8:00 or 8:00-11:00).

Distribution Volunteers - This is our mobile force that distributes FBISF rack cards, programs, posters and banners to almost 50 restaurants, businesses, visitor centers and chambers of commerce from Fairhope to Pensacola to promote festival awareness and boost attendance of the FBISF.
(This happens about two months prior to the festival and as the printed programs come in.
After the festival is over, the Distribution Volunteers retrieve the banners for the next year.)
